How the League Collects and Uses Your Personal Information

The League collects personal information when you join or donate online, including names, postal and e-mail addresses, phone and facsimile numbers, and billing information. The League does not knowingly collect or maintain any personal information from children under the age of 13.

As a League member, you should know that we do not sell or trade your mailing information. At any time you can add or remove your name from a League list by contacting us at bikeleague@bikeleague.org.

Your Email and How We Use It

E-mail is the most efficient way to reach the League’s 40,000 members to tell you what we’re up to and alert you on important issues. The League will never give your e-mail address to anybody and we will not inundate you with pointless messages. We know we need to keep your trust. We value this means of communication because it is cost effective and has the benefits of speed when time is of the essence.

Because we can do things like alert members in a particular city or state about a bicycling issue of importance to them, we encourage you to give us your email address so we can work together to create a bicycle-friendly America. You can do this by calling us at 202-822-1333, sending it to bikeleague@bikeleague.org, or writing it on your next renewal notice. As always, thank you for your membership and support.

League Web Site Privacy

The League Web site is a secure site, with a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) in place. We never collect your credit card information --- it is transmitted directly to our bank, and then deleted. League staff never sees or keeps any bank or credit card information you provide.

Help Us Keep Your Personal Information Accurate

If your personal information changes or you would like to review the personal information we may have on file, e-mail us with the new information at bikeleague@bikeleague.org.

Problems or Complaints with League Privacy Policy

If you have a complaint about League compliance with this privacy policy, contact us at bikeleague@bikeleague.org.
